Geek Night 2008

Greetings All,

In the Cumberland Heights Community Center in January, A herd of boyscouts gather in the old libuary. In here they all bring there PSP's, Xbox's, Wii's and Playstation's games and systems to play all night long. On the night in 2008, many boyscouts showed up. This time, a Wii was set up and prejected on to a screen. They played Guitar Hero 3, Wii Sports, And Mario related games. But in this Geek infested libuary, about 8 to 10 people left to head to the Cafiteria for Shooting arrows at targets. One target happened to be a turkey! A wolf came out before we packed up this activity. As we retured to the Geeking infested libuary,Sam felll asleep first then others joined. Then it was morning, and we packed up + did an Activity outside. Then everybody left.

Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park

Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park

Members of the troop went backpack camping the weekend of July 20th. They came back tired, dirty and mosquito bitten, but they had a great time!

Chow time!

I'm glad this creature stayed back at the park

Camp

Hi all,
We had a pretty exciting week at camp. I didn't get to update the blog as much as I wanted to, because we didn't have decent internet service.
Some of the highlights of the week were during our free time. On Monday we went to the Open swim at the pool; the slides were really cool. Tuesday we were on the Ice Berg until it started raining. Wednesday we went to Camp Craig and went Blobbing. We were going to go to the Water Carnival on Friday. We had even built our own raft using large sticks and water containers. But, the weather didn't cooperate, and the Carnival was canceled.
It rained a lot. In fact, it rained every single day. I know that we really needed the rain, but I wonder if we needed to get it all at once.
Overall it was a great week. I think all of the adults took a lot of pictures. I will try to compile and post the best ones within the next week.

I would also like to invite all of you to make your own blog entries. If you don't know how, I'll let you know at the meeting on Monday. I look forward to seeing all of your posts.

YIS,
Mr. Bill

First Days at Camp

Hi all, We've been here at camp for a couple of days now. We got here about 1:00 on Sunday. Our camp site is pretty nice, it's close to everything so we don't have to walk very far to go anywhere. So far it's rained everyday we've been here. It really rained hard today during our free swim time. We kept on swimming for a while, but then there was lightning and we had to go.
The scoutmaster's steak dinner was tonight. Miss Nikki, Mr. Dale, Mr. Randy and I thought it was great.
So far we've gotten some great pictures, but we're limited to sharing a slow connection, so it's going to be pretty hard to upload any. I'll try to make a few of the pictures smaller and post them tomorrow. Well, gotta go now

see ya,
Bill Coppedge
